Provincetown may be a small seaside town at the eastern edge of everything, but it has a city’s worth of entertainment after dark. There are shows, bars, and clubs to keep you going until closing time (at 1 a.m.). But you don’t have to go big, or go late. If you’re looking for something mellow, you can sip a cocktail by a crackling fire or people watch at a window seat on Commercial Street. Or leave it all behind and board a tall ship to watch the sun set over the ocean.

The sun sets early over Provincetown—and you could probably say that the nightlife starts even earlier (and goes plenty later). Tea Party start every day at 4. Afterward, you could grab dinner and then head to a drag show, or maybe even drag karaoke. There are also comedy shows, bands, and dance parties to fill up your week. And if you’re in Town for an event, be sure to check the calendar so you don’t miss out on all the themed dance parties and costume balls.
